I have two that I like a lot but the keys are so complicated that I GAVE UP on them after a while. I also like to play video games, and some are so user friendly that you have a very small learning curve. My conclusion, with 38 years of computer experience: is I LOVE Photoshop but it is not INTUITIVE, or User Friendly!Įligijusk36286930 mentioned Corel Painter as being easier, but I know of a lot of programs that are very Intuitive and User Friendly, but Photoshop is not one of them. I consider what eligijusk36286930 was saying way back on IS a valid complaint! However, I would say the problem is true about a lot of things in Photoshop.

FIVE times I searched the PS Help PDF file and I NEVER found anything about the or the keys relating to changing pen, etc. Even Photoshop HELP is as complicated as the program is itself. But EVERY TIME I forget some keys, I then have to spend minutes or HOURS looking it up. I know that I have had this PROBLEM many times, and it is usually an easy fix, but so far no luck. I found something that said, HOLD ALT + CTRL -, some are saying hold those keys and then DRAG with the mouse. I vaguely remembered using the keys but that did not work? So then I tried looking it up in Photoshop Help, and on Youtube. I NEED to change the sizes of my pens for my pencil, eye dropper, clone stamp, etc. The problem that I am having is that I will work in Photoshop a LOT for a month of two or more, and then won't be back using it for like 6 - 8 months. While painting I have to create and merge down like 100 layers and every time I have to use this terrible Ctrl+alt+shift+n combination which is impossible to hit with one hand and you can't change it to something simpler for God knows why. I think people who made Photoshop were not thinking that it could be used for painting or drawing. Ahk to exe compiler is in the ahk's installation folder. Much to my chagrin, when I started following their Mystic Mountain tutorial, I found its apparently actually built for their Corel Painter product and another Mystic Mountain brush set.

You can make an exe file out of your script and run it with windows start up. I recently acquired a copy of Corel Essentials 6 from the Bob Ross Humble Bundle as well as what was billed as the 'Corel Painter Essentials Mystic Mountain Essentials Brush Pack'.
The first line makes this script work only in Photoshop. In Corel I set the button to Ctrl+alt and that allows me to hold the button and move the stylus to the right to increase and to the left to. Now you can resize your brush by holding alt+d and dragging your mouse/pen. Having used Corel Painter for years and now hoping to move completely to Artrage (just bought Artrage 5), I would like to be able to change the brush size using the front button on my stylus (wacom).

So if you want you can use Alt+D+Drag shortcut for Brush resize or any other shortcut. Ctrl+alt+drag is already reserved for creating copies of the things you're dragging.
